Prof. Lundquist leads an interdisciplinary research group in the Dept. of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (ATOC) at the University of Colorado, with a joint appointment at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
Her research group uses observational and computational approaches to
understand the atmospheric boundary layer, with an emphasis on
atmosphere-wind energy interactions. She joined ATOC in Spring 2010,
also joining the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Institute as a Fellow. Previously, Julie was a scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory
in Livermore, California. She completed her PhD in Astrophysical,
Planetary, and Atmospheric Science at the University of Colorado at
Boulder, and has a BA in English/Physics from Trinity University.
